The Registered Nurse delivers and oversees patient care in line with the Department of Nursing’s mission and the standards set by the American Nurses Association (ANA).

    • Minimum Education: Preferred: BSN

    Required Skills: Current Virginia State RN License

    Required Certifications:

  • BLS (may be obtained during orientation)
  • ACLS (required within 30 days for new hires)
  • PALS (required within 30 days for new hires)
  • CEN (required within 2 years of hire)

    • Minimum Work Experience: Required: Previous ED experience; Preferred: Previous Charge RN experience
