Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and following Practitioner medical orders, provides direct and indirect nursing care in an outpatient setting. Also, orients and supports LPN Clinic/Meds I as needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepares and reviews medical records, initiates follow-ups, and documents patient information.
- Implements nursing procedures, administers treatments and medications, and performs point-of-care testing.
- Documents care interventions and collaborates with RN/Practitioner to adjust care plans.
- Maintains competency in nursing skills, participates in staff meetings, and coordinates projects.
- Efficiently handles emergency situations and assigns tasks to unlicensed personnel.
- Manages patient vaccine data and ensures compliance with immunization guidelines.
- Trains staff on vaccine storage and coordinates with state for VFC inventory.
- Ensures adherence to infection control policies and provides patient education.
- Participates in the orientation of new personnel and demonstrates clinical procedures.
- Maintains and organizes supplies, schedules patient care, and processes forms.
- OHS only: Certification in Spirometry, Hearing Conservation, & Substance Abuse Specimen Collection required within one year of hire.
- Demonstrates age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- 12 months of LPN experience.
- Completion of Hawaii State Board of Nursing approved LPN curriculum.
- Hawaii LPN license required at hire.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, customer service, and communication.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in acute care nursing.
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Workdays: Mon-Fri
Working Hours: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM
