Job Description

Job Summary:
Responsible for a range of technical, patient care, and clerical tasks related to echocardiography.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conducts echocardiogram studies, positioning patients for optimal results.
  • Operates equipment using M-mode, 2D, and Doppler techniques.
  • Identifies cardiac pathology and records significant findings.
  • Reviews echocardiography data, alerting cardiologists to critical issues.
  • Performs various echocardiography studies based on expertise.
  • Maintains CPR certification and assists in emergency situations.
  • Ensures ultrasound equipment is clean and functional.
  • Manages supply inventory and schedules patient exams.
  • Trains new diagnostic cardiac sonographers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in echocardiography.
  • Completion of an accredited echocardiography program.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Hours: 32/week, Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Job Type: Part-time, Regular

Travel: 50%
