Department/Unit Summary

3 12-hour shifts
2+ years of experience required
Must be trained in Mother/Baby care

Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with practice standards.

Essential Functions

  • Administer medications, collect specimens, and provide clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care and monitor patient conditions.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities.
  • Collaborate across disciplines for coordinated patient care.
  • Evaluate and educate patients and families based on their needs.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current RN license in NC
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • STABLE preferred
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP)
  • Fetal Monitoring Basic within 6 months, Intermediate within 1 year, Advanced every 2 years
