Job Summary:
Under supervision, performs general radiology and fluoroscopic imaging in various areas including the radiology department, emergency department, surgery, morgue, and bedside services.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conducts radiologic exams per protocols, positions patients, and selects technical factors for optimal imaging.
- Ensures patient safety and privacy, verifies patient identity, and documents in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Prepares sterile fields and assists radiologists during procedures.
- Maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, and ensures cleanliness of work areas.
- Participates in emergency response teams and provides patient care and communication.
- Engages in ongoing education and departmental meetings.
- Performs post-mortem radiology as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree in radiologic technology or two years of relevant experience.
- Basic Life Support or CPR/AED certification.
- Radiographer License (Hawaii) and ARRT Certificate in Radiography required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in trauma, fluoroscopy, and surgery.
Location: Maui Memorial – Wailuku Tower, Hawaii
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Day shift (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Travel: 10% of the time
