Echostar is seeking a skilled Sr DevOps Engineer to enhance operations in our Hughes Network Systems division. This role involves building and managing services for Hughes Business Solutions, based in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop efficient Python code for web applications.
  • Design and maintain data workflows with Apache Airflow.
  • Administer Linux systems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Engage in code reviews and provide feedback.
  • Collaborate with teams to meet project requirements.
  • Utilize version control systems effectively.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Seek skill enhancement opportunities.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of Python development experience.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong networking concepts understanding.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and ReactJS.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices.

Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company performance.
