We are seeking a highly skilled Charge Nurse to lead our nursing team with expertise in geriatrics and a passion for delivering top-notch patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical procedures, anatomy, and vital signs, with a keen ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. As a Charge Nurse, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care, promoting a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

– Provide direct patient care, including catheterization, venipuncture, and cardiac catheterization procedures, as needed.
– Oversee the daily operations of the clinic, including patient triage, assignment, and management.
– Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate.
– Utilize anatomy knowledge to administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
– Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
– Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
– Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulations, including HIPAA.
– Provide exceptional patient education and support.
– Perform other duties as assigned by the unit manager.

Skills

– Strong background in geriatrics and patient care.
– Proficiency in venipuncture and catheterization procedures.
– Experience in clinic settings.
– In-depth knowledge of anatomy and vital signs.
– Ability to triage patients and prioritize tasks effectively.
– Experience working with geriatric patients.
– Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures.
– Ability to administer medications and treatments safely and effectively.
– Strong leadership and communication skills.
– Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
– Knowledge of alimentary care and nutrition.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
