Veterinary Technician Trainer

Job Description

Friendship Hospital for Animals is looking for a skilled veterinary technician (licensed preferred) who is passionate about teaching. This role involves enhancing the technical skills of the primary care support team while providing patient care. Candidates should have high-level technical expertise and prior training experience, along with a commitment to the Fear-Free approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement training materials for onboarding and staff development.
• Identify and address training deficiencies through hands-on training and resources.
• Conduct technical skills training in areas such as venipuncture, catheter placement, and monitoring sedated patients.
• Develop multi-modal training materials and coordinate wet labs.
• Utilize a Fear Free approach, with certification preferred.
