Job Description

Job Summary: Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist to promote and maintain health.

Essential Functions:

• Utilizes an outward mindset to achieve personal and team goals.
• Records therapy procedures and results as per hospital policy.
• Communicates effectively with the healthcare team.
• Functions independently in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Administers physical therapy treatments and exercises under a Physical Therapist’s direction.
• Observes and documents patient responses to treatments.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s Degree, current Michigan license as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and BLS certification.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Preferred one year of hospital experience.

Working Conditions: Potential exposure to infectious diseases.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, reach, see, and communicate; frequent lifting of 1-25 lbs, occasional lifting of 25-50+ lbs.
