An Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) supports licensed occupational therapists in implementing patient treatment programs, adhering to federal and state regulations.

Essential Duties:

  • Conducts resident screenings as permitted.
  • Assists with rehabilitative activities and exercises from treatment plans.
  • Monitors and encourages residents during activities.
  • Records progress for occupational therapist review.
  • May help with scheduling, paperwork, and supply management.
  • Trains residents, caregivers, and families per care plans.
  • Completes documentation in line with policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree from an AOTA accredited program.
  • Licensed COTA as required by state law.
