Billing Specialist

Job Description

The Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the billing process, adhering to State and Federal reimbursement guidelines. Key duties include:

• Entering patient charges and correcting billing issues to ensure clean claims.
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to hospital policies.
• Communicating effectively with various contacts and assisting in training team members.
• Responding to customer inquiries professionally to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, relevant experience, and proficiency in medical terminology and typing (60 WPM). Experience with EPIC is preferred.
