The Registered Nurse (RN) provides essential nursing care to ensure patient comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting physicians, administering medications, changing dressings, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient records. The RN plays a key role in patient care planning and implementation, while also leading support staff.
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 10-bed unit focused on critically ill adults, handling complex procedures and a variety of medical diagnoses.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- One year of nursing experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
- Current Texas RN License and CPR certification required.
- ACLS and other unit-specific certifications needed within specified timeframes.
