> REF:#ee862001aaf77b96A Judicial Based Therapist is needed at the Knox County Sheriff’s Department to provide behavioral health counseling to incarcerated individuals facing mental health and substance use issues.
- Deliver therapy/counseling based on individualized Consumer Centered Plans.
- Offer insights to the Sheriff’s Department and legal system regarding client progress.
- Conduct clinical observations and check-ins for inmates in segregation and on suicide watch.
- Educate staff and the community on mental illness and recovery.
- Provide crisis intervention support as needed.
Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in a relevant field and an internship in counseling. Licensure (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) is preferred. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
