Job Description
> REF:#ecec4b3ee2df55b9The Respiratory Therapist in the Respiratory Care Services department is responsible for administering respiratory care under physician orders, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients. The therapist plans, implements, and evaluates therapy effectiveness while communicating with the healthcare team.
Licensure requirements include:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Education: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy required. Experience: 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy, with emergency/trauma experience preferred.
