A rehabilitation nurse supports individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses in achieving optimal function and adapting to lifestyle changes. They create a therapeutic environment for patients and families, designing treatment strategies based on nursing theory that enhance physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health. The nurse employs the nursing process to assess, implement, coordinate, and evaluate care, collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
Requirements:
- Rehabilitation experience preferred, not required
- Current Louisiana RN license
- BLS provider required
- ACLS provider preferred, not required
