The Area Director of Quality is responsible for providing clinical leadership in Medical Staff Services, Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, and Quality Management/Improvement. Key functions include ensuring compliance with CMS, The Joint Commission, and state/federal regulations, conducting audits, and preparing staff for regulatory surveys. The role involves collaboration with medical staff on credentialing and performance improvement, managing clinical risk functions, and educating hospital personnel. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a biological science, clinical experience, and knowledge of relevant standards. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.
