Clinical Educator – NICU

Job Description

The Clinical Educator role focuses on providing and coordinating educational support for service line staff, ensuring effective implementation of key educational processes. Under the supervision of the Director of Professional Development & Practice, the educator will lead initiatives such as orientation, competence assessment, and ongoing training.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Design and evaluate unit-based orientation processes.
• Orient and develop preceptors.
• Coordinate annual skill assessments and required training.
• Facilitate clinical experiences for students.

Qualifications include a current Texas RN license, a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and five years of clinical experience, with two years as a preceptor preferred.
