Position Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Hospital (Inpatient)
Status: FT Non-Exempt

Position Summary: The PTA will administer physical therapy treatments to patients with various injuries and conditions to restore function and relieve pain.

Essential Functions:

• Set up treatment monitors and assist patients with dressing and mobility.
• Observe and report patient status to the physical therapist.
• Assist in exercise programs and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Administer manual therapy and instruct patients in exercises and use of supportive devices.
• Document treatment progress and communicate with healthcare teams.
• Participate in quality improvement and promote a professional atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Florida PTA licensure and CPR certification.
• Ability to perform physical labor and communicate effectively in English.
• Hospital experience preferred.
