The role involves providing high-quality therapy services to patients while supervising therapy assistants, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating patients’ functional status and developing comprehensive care plans.
- Creating treatment programs and setting goals for patient improvement.
- Communicating care plans with physicians and other professionals.
- Instructing patients and families on treatment regimens and adaptive equipment.
- Maintaining clinical records and participating in discharge planning.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
- Current therapy license and registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
