Job Description

Position: Certified Surgical Technician

Department: Operating Room (Inpatient/Outpatient Surgery)

Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Hours Available

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for candidates with over 1 year of multi-specialty experience, after 6 months of employment.

Position Summary: The surgical technician supports the surgical team by ensuring a safe, aseptic environment during procedures. Responsibilities include prepping and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and assisting medical staff.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or Armed Forces medic program required.

Certification: Surgical Technician certification required (unless employed as a surgical technologist before July 1, 2013).

Knowledge and Skills:

• Previous surgical tech experience preferred.
• Proficient in English and medical terminology.
• Computer skills for data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
