Reports to: Director of Nursing
Summary: The Staff Nurse RN is responsible for providing professional nursing care to residents, implementing treatment orders, assessing treatment needs, maintaining medical records, and supervising care. This role requires adherence to facility policies and compliance with regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Attend work as scheduled and follow call-off procedures.
- Implement nursing practices per national and state standards.
- Administer medications and monitor residents for drug therapy effectiveness.
- Document care and notify physicians of any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Participate in educational programs and provide clinical supervision to staff.
- Ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Experience and Education: Requires an Associate, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in nursing, a current RN license, BLS and CPR certification, and at least two years of nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics.
Physical Requirements: Involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
