Job Description

A Certified Radiation Therapy Technologist is needed for on-site radiation oncology services at Tibor Rubin VAMC in Long Beach, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to NRC regulations and radiation safety guidelines.
• Interpret physician prescriptions and perform complex assignments under supervision.
• Prepare imaging and treatment equipment, ensuring daily specifications are met.
• Position patients accurately and explain procedures while following ALARA principles.
• Maintain patient records and enter treatment notes in CPRS.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Therapeutic Radiologic Technology program.
• One year of experience in radiation oncology and treatment delivery.
• Certification by ARRT in radiation therapy and BLS (AHA).
