Job Summary:
Responsible for various technical duties in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, including skin preparation, maintaining aseptic techniques, and providing patient comfort. Duties include transporting patients, positioning them for surgery, identifying biological specimens, and setting up the Operating Room with necessary instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in direct patient care under a professional nurse’s direction.
  • Maintain sterile fields and pass instruments during surgeries.
  • Ensure preference cards are updated and complete.
  • Implement aseptic practices and monitor the surgical environment.
  • Adapt care methods to meet diverse patient needs.

    • Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology or accredited LVN/LPN program.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required; Surgical Technologist certification within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN license.

    • Work Schedule: Varies, Full Time.
