The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients, ensuring continuity of care across shifts and departments. The RN also provides clinical supervision to entry-level nurses and aids in their professional development.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Preferred one year of nursing experience
- Current Texas State RN License or Compact RN License
- BLS certification
- ACLS and PALS required for experienced RNs; new graduates must obtain by the end of orientation
- Crisis intervention training within 12 months
- TNCC required for trauma facilities within specified timeframes
