Summary:
The Emergency Department RN is responsible for assessing patient and family health issues, leading the nursing care plan’s planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves providing technical nursing care to a diverse patient population, ensuring services are delivered with an understanding of their developmental age. The RN must align with the organization’s mission and core values while supporting strategic goals and performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements:
– Ability to prioritize daily workflow
– Effective communication skills with various education levels
– Understanding of medical terminology, human anatomy, and physiology
– One year of recent experience preferred
– Current Louisiana RN License, BLS, ACLS & PALS (within 3 months of hire)
– De-Escalation certification; TNCC certification preferred
– Bilingual skills (English/Spanish; English/French) preferred.
