Registered Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description

Position Summary: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care to patients based on physician referrals, adhering to relevant laws and standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

• NBCOT certified upon hire; renewal optional.
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT).
• Active state license required; must maintain good standing.
• Preferred: 1 year experience in post-acute care.
• CPR certification required upon hire or during orientation.

Specific Job Requirements:

• Participate in community health projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and support staff.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics and independent decision-making.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies.

Essential Functions:

• Implement treatment plans and set measurable goals.
• Oversee care provided by OTAs and students.
• Chart patient progress accurately and timely.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain regular attendance.
• Work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
