Position Summary: The Surgical Technologist I in the Operating Room provides safe and effective patient care under the direction of an RN. Responsibilities include room setup, maintaining sterile technique, assisting the surgeon, and ensuring proper counts of instruments and materials. The role requires competency in caring for patients of all ages and the ability to work weekends and take call as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist or LPN program
  • Preferred experience: over six months as an LPN or certified ORT

    • Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid surgical tech certification or LPN licensure preferred
  • AHA BLS certification required

    • Work Details:

  • Shift: Day
  • On Call: No
  • Weekends: Rotating
  • Travel: No
