Job Description

Job Summary:

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) administers medications to nursing home residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, observing residents for medication reactions, and preparing reports on medication administration and resident conditions. The role requires availability for 24/7 patient care, regardless of personal characteristics.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• No prior experience required
• Certification from an accredited medication aid program
• Preferred: Two years as a C.N.A. or Nurse Aide
• NM Medication Aide Certification
• Current BLS Certification
