Summary:
The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs medical ultrasound procedures as per physician orders, adhering to professional standards. Responsibilities include operating ultrasound equipment, patient assessment, assisting in biopsies, and documenting procedures in medical records. The role requires effective communication and alignment with organizational values.
Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision.
Document equipment calibration and ensure readiness of ultrasound room.
Assist Radiologists in invasive procedures and maintain billing accuracy.
Adapt patient assessments to meet individual needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
Minimum 1-year experience in relevant ultrasound fields preferred.
ARDMS or ARRT certification in Abdomen required within one year; BLS certification required.
