> REF:#c878b61248052799Summary: Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing on Nursing Units and supervising hospital activities in the absence of Administration and Nursing Directors/Managers.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide units by visiting departments, interpreting policies, and addressing staffing issues.
- Screen incoming patients for admission appropriateness and facilitate proper placement.
- Act as the hospital’s administrative representative, investigating incidents and problem-solving.
- Provide staffing for shifts, utilizing a mix of full-time, PRN, and agency staff.
- Monitor staff performance and collaborate with other supervisors for effective staffing.
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- RN License in state of employment or compact
- BLS certification
