Job Description

Summary: Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing on Nursing Units and supervising hospital activities in the absence of Administration and Nursing Directors/Managers.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide units by visiting departments, interpreting policies, and addressing staffing issues.
• Screen incoming patients for admission appropriateness and facilitate proper placement.
• Act as the hospital’s administrative representative, investigating incidents and problem-solving.
• Provide staffing for shifts, utilizing a mix of full-time, PRN, and agency staff.
• Monitor staff performance and collaborate with other supervisors for effective staffing.

Requirements:

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification
