Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides airway management services for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, administering respiratory care procedures as per physician orders. Responsibilities include:

• Oxygen and aerosol therapy
• Airway management (intubations and extubations)
• Arterial punctures and analysis
• Phlebotomy
• Mechanical ventilation

The Therapist plans, implements, and evaluates treatment effectiveness, ensuring communication with healthcare providers. Required qualifications include:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist
• NC Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Basic and Advanced Life Support certifications
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (within 1 year of hire)

Education: Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Experience: 1 year in clinical respiratory therapy, preferably in neonatology and pediatrics.
