Job Description

Position Summary: The role involves assessing and treating neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems to restore function impaired by injury or disease, focusing on pain management and mobility enhancement as prescribed by a physician. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring patient care plans, administering physical therapy modalities, and collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:

• Education: Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licenses: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure and BLS certification.
• Skills: Strong assessment, decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience: None required.
• Supervision: Reports to Director/Manager of Rehabilitation Services.
• Environment: Clean, well-ventilated, smoke-free; potential exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
• Physical Requirements: Good physical condition; ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment up to 50 lbs.
