Medical Technologist (ASCP)

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Technologist responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative analyses on patient specimens, including blood and other body fluids. The role involves conducting various laboratory procedures and communicating critical results to appropriate personnel.

Requirements:

• Good communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to interact with customers confidentially and tactfully.
• Medical Technologist Certification (ASCP, NCA, or HEW equivalent) and a Bachelor of Science Degree.
• 1-3 years of generalist experience, including blood bank experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Location: Waterbury Hospital, Lab – Microbiology. Schedule: Per Diem, Rotating.
