The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to develop and implement holistic treatment plans for patients with various impairments. The OTA’s primary role is to assist patients in rehabilitation by providing tailored activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide rehabilitative services to patients with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments.
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to follow and implement treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and monitor treatment effectiveness.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to regulations and standards.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain professional development.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Occupational Therapy, current Oklahoma license, and BLS certification preferred. Two years of experience is desirable.
