The CRNA is responsible for administering anesthesia to surgical and obstetrical patients under a delegating physician, with accountability to the Medical Director. Key duties include:
- Assessing patients and reviewing medical records
- Making post-op rounds and providing education to patients and families
- Performing procedures such as blood draws, anesthesia administration, and central line placements
- Managing mechanical ventilation and resuscitation techniques
Qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing, CRNA certification, and relevant experience. Licenses such as APRN, ACLS, PALS, and BLS are required.
