Registered Nurse, Step-Down/Cardiac Unit – Part Time

Summary:

The IMC Step-Down/Cardiac Unit is a 36-bed facility focused on cardiac care for post-operative patients, including those recovering from CABG, heart caths, and valve replacements. The unit also accommodates general medical-surgical patients with cardiac histories requiring telemetry monitoring and critical cardiac drips. Staff are trained to identify and respond to medical issues promptly. Opportunities for assessments, patient education, IVs, and medication management are abundant. The unit promotes flexible scheduling and a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent.
• 1 year of RN experience required.
• Current Texas nursing license.
• AHA BLS within 2 weeks; ACLS and Arrhythmia Recognition Course within 8 weeks of employment.
