Nursing Supervisor

Job Description

The nurse supervisor is responsible for managing staff and coordinating activities during their shift to ensure safe and effective patient care in line with hospital policies. Key duties include:

• Overseeing patient care and hospital policy execution.
• Reviewing staffing patterns and assisting with coverage.
• Communicating with departmental leaders about staff needs and issues.
• Investigating complaints from patients and staff.
• Facilitating patient flow and guiding clinical staff.
• Engaging with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hospital clinical experience; 5+ years preferred.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse license in Kansas or multi-state compact, along with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, STABLE certifications.
