Responsibilities include obtaining diagnostic recordings, explaining procedures to patients, preparing them for tests, and reviewing medical records. The role requires recognizing technical issues, documenting tests, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have a 2-4 year Allied Health training, preferably two years of cardiac sonography experience, and must be certified as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent.
