Job Description

The IMC Step-Down/Cardiac Unit is a 36-bed facility focused on cardiac care for patients post-open heart surgery, including CABG, heart caths, and valve replacements. The unit also accommodates general medical-surgical patients with cardiac histories requiring telemetry monitoring and critical cardiac drips.

Staff are trained to identify and address medical issues proactively, ensuring quick responses to emergencies. Opportunities for assessments, patient education, IVs, wound care, and medication management are abundant. The unit promotes a collaborative team environment with flexible scheduling, and staff are rarely canceled due to high demand for beds.
