Registered Nurse, 5West Medsurg – Full time

Job Description

Summary:

This new 15-bed MedSurg overflow unit offers a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1, with 3 RNs scheduled per shift, supported by a unit secretary and PCTs. Day and night shifts are available in a low-traffic area on the 5th floor.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, and supervise patient teaching and ancillary nursing activities.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• 1 year of acute hospital RN experience preferred.
• Current Texas RN license and BLS certification within two weeks of employment.

Work Type:

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts (7-7) with flexible scheduling.
• Shift differentials available for evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Time and a half for major holidays.
