This 36-bed Orthopedic Medical Surgical unit provides specialized care for patients undergoing Orthopedic, Spine, Neurological, Plastics, and Trauma surgeries. Serving a diverse adult population, the unit operates at a fast pace, focusing on post-operative and trauma stepdown care. Collaboration with Physical Therapy and an in-house Nurse Practitioner enhances patient outcomes. The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation, while supervising ancillary staff.
Requirements:
– Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
– 1 year of acute hospital RN experience preferred
– Current Texas RN license
– BLS certification within 2 weeks of employment
Work Schedule:
– 12-hour shifts
