Job Description

Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides essential nursing care to ensure patient comfort and well-being. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing equipment and assisting physicians during exams and treatments.
• Administering medications, changing dressings, and monitoring vital signs.
• Maintaining patient care records and observing patient conditions.
• Participating in patient care planning and implementation as a team member or leader.
• Leading support staff and ensuring safe procedures.

This role is within a 32-bed unit caring for a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on cardiac and telemetry cases, with opportunities for skill enhancement.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Current Texas RN License and CPR certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications needed within specified timeframes.
