Job Description

Position Summary: The Nurse Resident in the Orthopedic and Surgical Care Department at Skagit Valley Hospital is a full-time role (0.6 FTE or more) responsible for providing direct patient care under the guidance of a preceptor. The position offers a base wage of $40.54 to $73.92 per hour and a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and document patient health status and medical history.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and perform direct patient care following established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients.
• Participate in ongoing education and adhere to safety and departmental policies.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State required.
• Less than six months of clinical experience or returning to practice.
• Strong communication and technical skills.
