Summary:
The MRI Technologist operates independently, performing specialized MRI procedures and utilizing advanced imaging equipment. Responsibilities include patient screening, equipment maintenance, quality assurance, and ensuring MRI safety. The technologist must make quick, technical decisions to accommodate patient needs and participate in ongoing education and protocol development.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex diagnostic procedures using MRI equipment.
  • Assist Radiologists in invasive procedures.
  • Ensure accurate data storage and billing.
  • Adapt care methods to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills.

    • Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiological Sciences program.
  • 1-3 years of clinical imaging experience preferred.
  • Current MRI certification and state licensure required.
  • Current BLS certification required.
