Job Description

The Laboratory Technical Specialist assists the Clinical Laboratory’s Section manager in optimizing personnel workflow and serves as a liaison between staff and management. Responsibilities include performing indirect patient contact procedures, including therapeutic phlebotomy, and ensuring the proper operation of laboratory equipment. The Specialist will recommend new methodologies, aid in policy development, and ensure staff training and competency. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or military training is required, along with preferred certification from recognized organizations. The position is full-time, with day shifts and rotating weekends, and does not require travel.
