Job Description

Overview: Responsible for initiating, maintaining, and discontinuing respiratory therapy equipment and techniques for patients with cardio-pulmonary disorders.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Care or a 2nd-year student in an Associate’s Degree program.
• Licensure: Current CPR certification required.
• Experience: Completion of the 1st year of a Respiratory Care Associate’s Degree program with clinical rotation experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and test respiratory therapy equipment.
• Document patient care and therapy responses.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies.
• Assess patient conditions and respond to emergencies.
• Participate in continuing education and staff development.
