Certified Surgical Tech – OR – PART TIME *Must be Certified*

Job Description

Job Summary: The Surgical Technologist, under the supervision of registered nurses, is responsible for setting up and maintaining the surgical field, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring an aseptic environment. The role involves knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization methods, and contributing to efficient operating room operations.

Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• BLS certification required or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience: Surgical Tech II requires at least 3 years; Surgical Tech I prefers prior experience.
• Proficient in computer skills and medical terminology.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare and clean the surgical suite.
• Maintain the sterile surgical field and assist the surgeon.
• Perform instrument counts and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
• Transport and assist patients as needed.

Physical Demands: Moderate physical effort, including standing, lifting, and responding to emergencies. Exposure to various hazards in a clinical environment.
