Position Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct rehabilitation care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following physician referrals and adhering to relevant laws and standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current state registration/licensure, maintaining good standing.
  • Preferred one year of experience in post-acute care.
  • CPR certification required upon hire or during orientation.
  • Specific Job Requirements:

  • Engage in community health projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
  • Coordinate with patients, families, and support departments.
  • Demonstrate good body mechanics and independent decision-making.
  • Knowledgeable of relevant laws and guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships.
  • Essential Functions:

  • Implement treatment plans and chart progress.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist in patient evacuation.
  • Demonstrate regular attendance and effective communication within a team.
  • Perform physical tasks as required and communicate effectively in English.
