Position Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) provides direct rehabilitation care to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following physician referrals and adhering to relevant laws and standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
Current state registration/licensure, maintaining good standing.
Preferred one year of experience in post-acute care.
CPR certification required upon hire or during orientation.
Specific Job Requirements:
Engage in community health projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Coordinate with patients, families, and support departments.
Demonstrate good body mechanics and independent decision-making.
Knowledgeable of relevant laws and guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships.
Essential Functions:
Implement treatment plans and chart progress.
Provide excellent customer service and assist in patient evacuation.
Demonstrate regular attendance and effective communication within a team.
Perform physical tasks as required and communicate effectively in English.
