Job Description

Job Summary: Seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to join the OR team, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to ensure a safe surgical experience for patients. No nights, weekends, or holidays required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist and BLS certification (or ability to obtain within one year).
• Experience: Surgical Tech I (preferred prior experience); Surgical Tech II (minimum 3 years required).
• Proficient in medical terminology, computer skills, and effective communication.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare and check surgical instruments and supplies.
• Maintain aseptic technique and assist in surgical procedures.
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse.
• Assist with patient transfers and room cleaning.
• Adhere to safety and infection control guidelines.

Physical Demands: Moderate physical effort; ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must respond quickly to emergencies.

Work Environment: Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and potential hazards; may involve stressful situations.
