Job Summary:
Responsible for various technical duties in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, including skin preparation, maintaining aseptic techniques, and providing patient comfort. Duties include transporting patients, positioning them for surgery, identifying biological specimens, and setting up the Operating Room with necessary instruments and supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in direct patient care under a professional nurse’s direction.
  • Maintain sterile fields and pass instruments to the physician.
  • Work effectively in a team and ensure a safe environment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in surgical supplies and equipment.
  • Adapt care methods to meet diverse patient needs.

    • Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Surgical Technology program.
  • 2+ years of experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Surgical Technologist certification or LVN/LPN license within 180 days of graduation.
